there are clues that might people to believe that they are.the secret audio at the end of the film say the monster is still alive.

*maybe rob is the one saying "its still alive".if the camera didnt get destroy in the explosion rob might have survive.

I read on IGN that there is talk about it.
There is a scene on the Brooklyn Bridge where Hud is filming the Statue of Liberty and he looks at a guy with a video camera filming as well.
So there could be another one but from a different point of view. Different characters, tragedies, you never know.
