At a Gig is it better to be standing or sitting down?!

Question: with standing you get a better view and with seating you are not standing up all the time

Answers: with standing you get a better view and with seating you are not standing up all the time

For me, the gig is all about seeing those musicians I love live, so I like to get there early, and stand right at the front, leaning on the bar. Possibly this is the least comfortable place to be, what with everyone pushing behind you and crowd surfing over your head, but it's the place with the best view in my books- just keep dodging the crowd surfers' boots as they flail close to your head, and if any of the band come close enough you can reach out and touch them ; ) Good night out. I've tried sitting down and peering through binoculars, but it's not the same...

Hey, have a great gig!

standing up mate get more involved dance about!

also depends what u drank and smoked--lol

Stand.

I always find the best view to be standing... on the stage, LOL!!! Fights, gals flashing, whatever. We're here to play...

Standing is better- it means that you can mosh!

Get comfortable, It depends on the type of music your playing, If its acoustic and softer , take a seat! get comfy! you will probably give a better performance if your comfortable.

If your a vocalist i think you should stand, it gives you better projection of your voice although some singers sound great either way,

Just get comfortable, but not too comfortable, people want to see you giving it your all!

Good luck,

it could depend what your role in the gig is and your style of music. if youre doing solo acoustic guitar stuff sitting down would be ok but if youre like the singer of a band with a more upbeat sound then you should probably stand. i think slower stuff is better to sit to and more upbeat is better to stand to. if youre playing an instrument in the upbeat sound you should still stand unless its easier to play it sitting but try to find a way to connect with the audience. thats the most important part.

standing, u can mosh

standing, don't have miss any thing.......

Depends how close you are sitting, i stood up at a rhcp gig and had a really good view, we were about half way back in a footie stadium, it was more enjoyable than when ive sat as i could dance about.
I sat for a metallica gig in wembley stadium, athough it was nice to sit, i was quite far away and didnt get a good view, and also the atmosphere wasnt as good.
If your gonna stand make sure you wear comfy shoes.

i would say standing but if very tall people should sit as the one's behind can never see

you have to stand in the crowd it will create a better atmosphere

bleachers n standing heck if their drinking imagine the chairs thrown
