Reasons for getting the itouch upgrade?!

Recently i purchased an itouch myself. I wasn't to fond of shelling out the 20 dollars for an upgrade but i am glad I did.
The January 2008 upgrade allows you to customize the screen with different widgets and the sort. This is good if you bookmark web pages then all you have to do is touch them.
Maps-This is a great application if you need to know how to get somewhere in a pinch and it works anywhere in the world. The downside is you need a wi-fi connection to view the map you want to select and get directions. Once you leave the wi-fi the map gets saved and lets you view it as your getting to your place.
Stock- good if you want to keep eyes on a certain stock, again takes a wi-fi connection.
Notes-The name implies it. You can make virtual post-its about chores and things to get done.
Mail- This applications cool and apple took heat about this when the touch first came out. The mail feature allows you to check your mail on the go, basically like you would see it on your home computer.
Weather- if you want ot keep tabs on the weather this app lets you. Not a big deal but a nice feature non the less. I work at an airport so its great to for me.
I found the upgrade useful. I wouldn't recommend it if you dont use the wi-fi feature since all of the features run on wi-fi except for customizing the screen. If you do use wi-fi a lot then go for it the features are pretty cool and over all its a really neat thing to have. Other than that the upgrade wont do much other than give you a stronger taste of what iphone user's already have. I hope this was help.
