Question: lol, great question. I take it you don't mean real advice from a reliable source, but rather the case of someone wanting you to fit into their own idea about you. In that case, I've lost count so long ago, now I just say "Yeah, thanks" and give them a smile.

If you include childhood - I can't count that high.
Many times in childhood. In adulthood, several times, but usually revolving around the same problem area I am trying to work on improving for my own sense of growth and maturity.
