Michael Hedges did for acoustics what Hendrix did for electrics. I have just about all his stuff. I also now reside in the town where he's from-I run into folks that knew him now and then. Anything off his first two albums does it for me. I'm not a big fan of acoustic music, either. When people ask me why, anymore I just tell them, "Because I've heard Michael Hedges." The other stuff just doesn't get it after that.
