What is the best way to form a band that is serious?!
Question: actually meet up every so often...maby like every weekor something.
dont just get the best guitarist you know either,..he may be the best you pesonally know but if you dont like him/her then things WILL go wrong (iv made that mistake)...get people that you can acctually stand to be around. even if they suck. if they suck help with lessons and so on.
this may sound cliche but DONT form a band just for money. form a band because you like the music.
my brother told me that and before he said that, i sucked at guitar, now im getting better (some how) sounds wierd i know

make sure that your bandmates are also serious and are willing to do anything for the success of your band.... and make sure that they really know their instruments... :D
only add people who are dedicated (almost always come to practice, have the same thoughts on fame as you do, etc..) and make sure they can play good. and creativity is a must have too.
Love music, get band members that love music(and have good relationships with them), practice daily or weekly, look up other bands and learn from their music and lyrics, and have fun! I'm part of a serious band myself.
