Can you get better tickets directly from a venue than you can from a ticket agen!

Question: My daughter wants to see a show and I am wondering if the venue gives away better tickets for ticketmaster to sell, than I can get directly from the venue - all things being equal - where should I call for the best tickets?

The band itself blocks out tickets. It's hard to tell sometimes which to do. The band, radio, sponsors, fan club can easily eat up the first 4 plus rows. Ticketmaster.com allows you to see where your sitting versus the window which can take longer. To get the best seats get them the second they go on sale. Usually at 10am but that's not in stone AND just FYI the band has to pay for their tickets. The day of the show any tickets the band doesnt give away (strippers, bellman, doorman etc) they turn in. That is why sometimes you are standing next to someone in the front row who JUST bought their tickets at the box office when they got there versus people who paid a grand for that same ticket from a scalper or ticket reseller. So keep that in mind if your show is sold out and your on a mission go to the venue as soon as they open day of show and see when/if the band has turned their tickets in yet.
ROCK ON!!

Depends. Nice thing about going direct to a venue is there's no service fee like when using Ticketmaster online.

generally speaking an agency get the best tickets because they buy them from all over and sell them at inflated prices.

if your one of the first ppl in line you can get good tickets.

many performers have reserved seats available to fan club members.

remember some tickets never go on sale to the public they are given to promoters and record executives.

you can check online for ticket master.

all tickets today include some service charge etc sometimes adding as much as $15 to the ticket price
