There are 2 stargate shows
SG1 is the first there was 10 seasons. (1997-2007)
Atlantis is the second there is 4 seasons of this.
The first movie was Stargate with Kurt Russell and James Spader. (1994)
There is a new movie Stargate Ark of Truth with SG1 cast.
Watch the original movie FIRST!
Then Stargate SG1 season 1 is set one year after movie.
SG1 seasons 2-10
Atlantis started in 2004 (still on sci-fi)
*both shows ran in tandem for 3 seasons.
Ark of Truth just came out March 11, 2008.
Stargate Continuum will be release in fall of 2008
I would watch all of SG1 seasons then Atlantis seasons.
Then rewatch! You'll come across things you missed!
I'm not an expert on this, but I know there are at least 2 television shows. Stargate SG-1 and Stargate Atlantis. I would start with SG-1, since it was on prior to Atlantis. There is also, Stargate the movie. It stars Kurt Russel, and IMO is good. I would start off with the movie first, then go to the TV series.
There's a Stargate web site... why don't you use it? It will give you all your answers. There are too many episodes to list and I have better things to do with my time.
