Drum machine vs drum module?!
Question: So I found the online websites where it tells you how you can make your own electronic drum kit, but I really need to know something?
What's the difference between a drum module and a drum machine?
I know the drum/cymbal triggers will hook into one, and make the sound, but I'm curious as if to what I need is a drum module or a drum machine. What are the differences between them? Can you plug triggers into a drum machine?

-The drum module is the actual "brain" of an electric drum kit. The drum module stores all the sounds and stuff like that.
-A drum machine is just like a little metronome that plays drum tracks that are pre-installed on it. Its mostly used for guitar players when they want to fool around and have some drums as a backing track.
It sounds to me like you will need a drum module. Im pretty sure you cant plug these triggers into a drum machine. Hope this helps, and keep rockin.
