Question: What does Vanna White press to turn on the letters. I just want to know what it is and what she presses to reveal the letter. Any other random information about that whole process would be cool too.

It's a touch screen. http://www.wheeloffortune.com/showguide/... Vanna has to wait for the letter to light up and then touch it. (The puzzle board is controlled by computer by someone in the control room). She knows the puzzle solutions beforehand so you'll often notice that she'll stand in front of a letter, waiting for it to light up.

i think the screen is probably heat activated
like it responds to sense of touch
its controlled by a conputer with a touch sensor...I cant tell you how I know that, but thats how it works. :) hope it helps...Oh, and no matter how hard the wheel looks to turn, its really quite light. :-P
