I just saw a video of a recent sit-in by some young college students in Madrid protesting the war in Iraq. They blocked traffic and a man in his 60s got angry and ran the sit down blockade, dragging a girl and breaking her pelvis. He was caught and arrested for attempted homicide.
So I gathered from this scary incident that yes, sit ins are still happening but maybe not as much as during the 1960s.
back in the 60-70's it was common.
why not start your own again?
