How many hours should i practice guitar for?!
Question: i LOVE playing the electric guitar it's my favorite thing to do ive been playing for about 5 years now and i want to try and make it in music but theres a big problem i dont know why but i dont feel like practicing anymore but at the same time i want to i love playing guitar what can i do so i can play guitar and want to practice how many hours should i practice a day mon-thurs i have scholl from 9am to 4pm how many hours should i practice on school days then weekends and the most important question what should i practice something that will make me a better guitar player though

I love playing my guitar too, no crap because i own a les paul. and we all know how awesome them guitar looks n play. the way i got better and better at the guitar was experimenting with new styles of music. i started off with some boring blues but the blues and jazz gets your fingers a taste of the guitar. it teaches you the structure of the guitar neck and once you start progressing move on to some old rock songs from kiss or motely crue or something. as hard as they sound they are actually easy songs to play. those songs will teach you the power chord theory and some simple solos. from there move on to some emo. now dont be all threatened because youve heard things about their stereotype these guys infact have pretty good music. listen to some as i lay dying especially their song the sound of truth that has some good as solos and riffs you can play. realy amazing. they are a metal band. so you progress quicker through this method. then go start learning your plucking n stuff through rnb. its really fun.
practise at least 10-30 minutes a 1 hour to a maximum. everyday after school crank that volume and just feel like your there and you really need to kick some a s s with your guitar. the more you imagine it and the more passion you have for it the more you can do it.

I have that too.Sometimes I play guitar everyday and leave it for a few days then when I pick it up again i'm even better.
Practice 20 minutes a day on school days and then 2 hours a day on days off school, or go longer if you want!
i felt the same way , i loved playing guitar but didn't have any motivation to practice. what i suggest you do is try to involve other people when you play like a singer or another guitar player, it will make practing more social and fun. Also try to find places where you can play, that will encourage you to practice so you don't get rusty..
the same here and i play the drums also. i play both at least for 6 hours a day. and now im really good at both. pratice makes perfect. the more hours is better but if u are very busy its ok just play it more then 30 minutes at least.
