I really want a record deal?!
Question: Im turning 15 soon, and its been my dream to be a guitarist.. i kno that sounds like every kid's dream but i wish you all could hear me play.. I have a Youtube acconut, guitar4life2007
if anyone knows how i could get a deal or if u kno ppl in the business, or have any other recommendations please let me know thanks

First off, I would like to say that you're very talented!
The music industry is incredibly difficult to get started in, and even more difficult to remain in. For someone getting started, I would suggest sending a very very clear recording of a song you're good at to a local radio station. You could search around for nearby recording studios, or perhaps try out for a national talent show. For your first try, however, I would strongly suggest the radio station. Go in person, speak with a manager.
You could also try playing some gigs at a local coffee house or something. My band started out by doing some random shows at churches for halloween and small events.

well, kid at least you have youth on your side:) I suggest that you keep practicing and posting your stuff at places like Youtube and MySpace. If you are good, and I am sure you are, people will notice. Joining a band with your buddies is also a good idea. Good luck!
