Question: It's sick because instead of learning, trying to get brains, valuing ANYTHING, intelligence, you name it, we have people starving themselves and wasting money on everything from clothes to shoes, to pampering, to cars, to plastic surgery even, and if you really look back at Hollywood's history,
MOST of the movies they produced and even music USED TO BE about actual talent and soul.
Nowadays it's a huge popularity contest of who's richer, who's hotter, who's trendier.
Ever see the malls around you?
CLOGGED with wannabees, hopefuls, delusionals, irrational, competitive, retarted kids.
Even normal people find themselves with new standards they have to put up with, thanks to Hollywood, and will get overlooked by the more plasticky, prettier person, especially for women.

i definitely agree. just because everybody wants to fit in. its so stupid. but you stating this meas that not everyone is in that level. there definitely are people who realize, but not enough. people look at movies as an event in real life which can almost be used as a model example. so wen they see mean girls for instance, and see how regina george can get her tank top cut around her boobs, but still flaunt it by being confident(but really arrogant), girls think oh! maybe i should be slutty and confident/arrogant, and then things will hapen like they did in the movie. so ya. lol
hey man i agree with you. take it from a gal who inhabits the superficial side of hollywood. im not like that i guarantee you but many of my friends cousins, even parents and beyond have been exploited to the surfacing trend. its sad but hey its not you and be glad your outside the box.
