GUITAR HELP! i need to know what this means!?!

Question: ok so im trying to learn
>> "the last song ever" by secondhand serenade. <<
actually, im just looking at the chords, but i think its such a great song. :]

i was just wondering... they give you the chords and then they have an "x" then some numbers after it. i want to know what those mean. here are the ones they give me:

Em- x22033
C- x32033
G- 320033
D/F#- 2x0033
D- xx0323
Dsus- xx0233

if someone can tell me what they mean and how to play it, that would make me sooo happy. (:
im new at guitar and trying to learn a few things on my own until i can get a private teacher.
thanks in advance!

there are a bunch or resources online.
basically X means don't play that string then the numbers correspond which fret you put down.
for example in the C chord you don't play the low string (E) you push the 3rd fret on the A string the second fret on the D string leave the G string open and push the 3rd fret on B and high E string. (PS this chord is Actually a Cadd9 chord, but whatever)

Going from the top string down, the numbers mean:

X - Don't play the string, or mute it by holding a finger -lightly- over it, to keep it from vibrating.
0 - Play that string without pressing it anywhere on the fretboard (the guitar neck).
1/3 - Press the string with your left hand on the 1st, 2nd, or 3rd "fret", that is, the secition of the neck, going from the top (the section closer to the end of the guitar) to the bottom (the section closer to the body of the guitar).

In chords, you should play all the notes "at once", by which I mean you don't play each individualy, but move your pick (or finger) over all the strings in a quick motion.

Not sure if that was clear, but hope it helps.
