Edith Smythe 79 years old arrested for "non conformity during minority fest!
Question: Edith refused to cover her face while walking through a religious march in epping north london.she was screamed at ,yelled at,and finally made to cower in fear as over 200 people marched past her.she was arrested and spent 3 hours explaining herself!!!!!!she was terrified as 300 marched past!!!!! screaming at the top of there voices"Free ****M"IS THIS HOW BRITAIN treats its pensioners?she is now terrified after spending over 3 hours in a police cell.

She should of spoke her feelings. Poor Edith. Let's take her pension money from her.
What gets me is that minorities don't actually care whether everyone else celebrates their festivals or not, it's bored white people with too much power sitting in a room deciding what's offensive and what's not.
Being forced to conform is not a good path to tread, especially if you risk a jail sentence for not doing so.
I have a new viola, the muslims DO NOT CARE if everyone else celebrates their festivals or not. Stop using your bigotry, it's entirely to do with the government we elected who thinks the entire population (regardless of religion) is far too stupid to take care of themselves and needs to wipe our bottoms for us! An example is here - forcing down everyone's throats what is offensive and what's not.

I dont believe in conformity and individual minorities believing they are unique enough to dictate and throw their beliefs in others faces.
I also think Edith might have intentionally put herself in a dangerous position to oppose these louts who abused her which I feel was a foolish act but a brave one all the same. However, I imagine she knew she was going to run the risk and end up getting arrested and just like the rest of us who oppose such things she knew she would probably end up in a police cell and be made to feel like a criminal.
I applaud the woman for making a stand but just because she is old enough to be a grandma doesn't mean she should not have to face the same treatment by the police as the rest of us, and I am sure she feels just because she is older she would not like to be made to feel like an "old fogey".
