Great gift for a mom who's turning 50?!
Question: I'm really stumped for a gift to give my mom for her birthday. My one sister is getting her Bruce Springsteen tickets (my mom loves him) and my other sister is getting her Mets tickets (my mom loves the mets) and I am stuck with nothing! for a group gift we are all getting her an ipod shuffle, but I want to give her something really good from me too. I was going to give her a gift certificate for a spa or a massage or something for either just her, or the two of us but her friend got her that. so i really have no good ideas! Can anyone help me out here? It needs to be something really good, for pretty cheap because I am dirt poor. My other sisters work and I only get my money from babysitting. so if anyone could give me some suggestions that would be FABULOUS! (before april 14th thats her birthday)

Well u should try and work a little more and save your money up for like a charm braclet that has a couple of here favorite things on it like something that represents the met well good luck and i hope your mom has a great birthday and remeber its the thought that counts

Get a prfessional photo of you and your siblings, all mothers love photos of their children no matter what age they are. Or a day at the spa.
It's so hard to tell because I dont know your mom's personality, but...I often go to www.gifts.com to look for gifts. You can shop by age, personality, etc. It always gives great ideas you probably haven't thought about before. Good luck!
A gift that my family always loves are pictures. Take some pictures (they dont have to be professional) with a nice nature background and go to a store to get it blown up and put it in a picture frame. Take a pic of you and your siblings. Your mom will love it!
Think of her other interests. Does she like animals? Music? Or maybe art? You know better, your her own child!

I'm hopeless at getting my wife presents, but for 51st birthday I bought her a 30 minute flying lesson (about ￡80) at a nearby airport. She thought it was brilliant, and tells everyone how amazed she was when I came up with such a good present.
Sounds like you have a great mom. I think you should do something special for you mom and it wont cost much (or anything but your time). Maybe try a reenactment of her life. Like a five minute skit that tells the story of her first 50 years. You can ask her folks or siblings if she has any and your dad. Talk about the things that make her unique and make a few jokes. You could also showcase the decades of her life. Look at what happened on her birthday every 10 years and either present it in a skit or make a scrapbook of it. You could include things like the #1 song, movie, TV show and what the was in the news. Again maybe you could add some personal bits of info to like' this is the year mom turned 10, she was in the 4th grade and had a crush on ..." or whatever. You should be able to find stuff on the net.
