It goes without saying, but I'll say it, that you can play this song in whatever key your heart disires. If you want to play along with the track, make it easy on yourself & tune down your guitar one half step. To play the opening riff, pluck the open low E string, hammer on the 2nd fret (F#), release that note and then play an A chord, then a D chord.

This should give you a nice running start in figuring out the rest of the song. The solo is in the same key as the song, A major or F#m. BUT before you get too comfortable, the end of the song changes keys a whole step to the key of B....probably so the singer can show off those super high notes.
