Has anyone an idea how I can listen to my old audio tapes.I do not have a workin!

Question: Came across all my old tapes from my teens and there is some really good stuff on there.
However I can not play them. Some of the stuff probably can't be found on C.D as it was offs taped from a friend.
Is there an easy way to convert them to C.D

I know this makes me sound ancient but as I say my youth is on those tapes!!!

Try this.

Without a cassette player, you don't have much of a chance. You can plug the output from a cassette player to the line in socket on your computer and use an audio editor to convert them into mp3 files or CD tracks.

yes why not get another cassette player?

And it is really easy to transfer them into MP3 files nowadays. After that you can do what you like with them.

You need a sound card that can record from a cassette player., most of them will. And a software program that will allow you to record them. There are loads.

there is a converter you can buy that u connect to the pc to burn to cd

It can't be any harder than playing the old vinyl records without a record player.

Buy one at a car-boot sale, they are only a couple of quid now.

Without the corresponding recorder it's quite hopeless; you don't have any chance. I am sorry.
