￡2k!?!!?! Not holding back on you budget there! However this is a good thing because it means you're not restricted with what you can get - you can make your guitar the best!!
Personally, I am in a similar situation and after scouring the internet I found this little known company in the north west called 'SBO CUSTOM GUITARS' - although their products aren't currently in production they're taking orders and, from what I have seen, their are few guitars cooler!!! One feature I love is on the SBO XY which features an integrated XY Pad - just like on Matt Bellamy's guitars!!! Take a look!.!.!.
