The way a toilet flushes is a function of which way the holes under the rim are pointing!. For example, I recently replaced two toilets in my home that are made in Australia!. Since the holes under the rim point straight down, the water goes straight down during a flush!. However, a whirlpool, like at a floor drain does go the opposite direction in the southern hemisphere!. The physics behind this is called Coriolis effect!.Www@Enter-QA@Com
