Teen Acoustic Guitar?!

Question: Teen Acoustic Guitar!?
My grandson got a (cheap) acoustic guitar (Behringer) for Christmas of 2006!. He has taken to it and seems to want to continue lessons and improving his skills!. As a biased grandpa, he's very good!. I would like to get him a better quality one, but as you may know they are priced anywhere from $100!.00 to $10,000!. He is 13 and of course may loose his desire to play!. Can anyone tell me what would be a "step" or two up!. I would rather upgrade it again in a year or two rather than getting something that he looses interest in and it ends up sitting in a closet!. Thank you in advance!.Www@Enter-QA@Com

Best thing to do is to go to a guitar shop and audition some that are in what you think is a reasonable price range!. Get some advice from the people who work there!.

Let him choose one that he feels good playing, likes the feel and sound of!. Every one will have different characteristics!.

The best thing to keep him interested is to have an instrument he likes to play!.Www@Enter-QA@Com

You can get him a used one!. They can be a lot cheaper, even if they are higher quality!. Plus I don't think that the value of an insturment goes down if it's used, so it's a good deal either way!. And if he loses interest, you can alwayse resell it!. Tell him to keep it up though! Everyone loves the guitar!Www@Enter-QA@Com
