Question: I need some serious help trying to figure out my future, any help!?
I am really interested in music, not singing, but production!. I live in St!. Louis, MO and I know that nothing is happening here, I would have to move to LA!. But Im scared and the money scares me, I will be broke!. How can I get started!? Should I stay in MO or move!? If I moved I would be alone!. Is it worth it!?Www@Enter-QA@Com

I live in STL too, am in a band, and have been playing the drums and singing professionally my whole life!. I know exactly what you mean when you say there is not much going on here in the music biz!. If you want to stay in St!. Louis, I would suggest trying to get a job or internship at one of the major recording studios in the city!. Jupiter Studios is a really nice studio that has national acts come in from time to time to lay down tracks!. There really isn't a college around here that has a good program focussing on music production!. You might also want to talk to some of the sound guys at the big clubs that have live music in the area, and see if you could get a job with them as an assistant, you will gain tons of experience from that as well!.Www@Enter-QA@Com
Do some research as to what it will cost to live in LA for 6 months!. Before you leave, save up your money so you have it to live on for 6 months if you cannot find a job right away!. also, if you have no formal training in music production, you might want to consider attending a college or trade school to obtain the skills and credentials that you will need to make yourself marketable in your chosen field!.Www@Enter-QA@Com
well if you stay your going now where right!? you wont have any money if you move to LA lets see why don't you first save up the money to move there and call around LA before you go, looking for possible jobs to help you stay on your feet and an apartment you could stay in!. And yes you would be alone if your really going for this you want it bad is it not worth the risk!? and if it does not work out are there people in your life that will support you!? If you have a dream go for it with all you've got or else you will regret it later in life the least you can do is try!.!.!.!.!.and tell your self i will do it! and see what happens just make sure you have a solid plan before going and make sure to look up places or programs that will help your dream come true when your out there don't go unprepared!.

If you want to get into producing, check to see if there are some media schools in the St!. Louis area!. I'm sure there are!. Get a degree in studio production or whatever interests you and then you can write your ticket to wherever you want to go!. I'm sure there are some grants and student loans you can get to join the school!.Www@Enter-QA@Com
If i were u I would look into computer production, or digital analysis!. This day and age computers run everything if you we to get into some sort of digital production!. Although NY would probly be better for Music than LA i think!.Www@Enter-QA@Com
