my dad bought me a spanish guitar about 5 years ago, but i don't want to play it because i like acousitic guitars better!. how do you change the pitch on the strings to make it acoustic!?Www@Enter-QA@Com

Answers:
You're not changing the pitch you are changing the strings from nylon or gut to metal!.

Acoustic just means not electric, which is really both guitars!.

Another typical difference is a much wider neck on Spanish and Classical guitars!.

I suggest you take it to a music shop and see if you can trade it rather than messing up a Spanish guitar!. They aren't really meant for metal strings and you can't change the neck!.

As long as you start playing i'm sure you're Dad will be ok with it!.!.!.!.Dedicate a song to himWww@Enter-QA@Com

Nope, the bracing system and internal structure is different!. My suggestion would be to learn to play it, then trade it in for an acoustic guitar!. Keeping in ind, all the notes are the same on either guitar!.
If you put steel strings on a classic guitar, it is likely going to come apart in in a few areas!. It will warp the neck, possibly warp the face of the guitar, it may pull the bridge off and possibly separate the neck where it joins the body!.Www@Enter-QA@Com

ummmmm!.!.!.a spanish guitar IS an acoustic guitar!!! It just has a slightly different body style and nylon strings instead of steel!. Sooooo!.!.!.I guess you could just put steel strings on it but it is gonna sound like poop!. Just go buy a cheap acoustic!.!.!.you can get a decent beginner one for like $100Www@Enter-QA@Com
