What are some ways to get people to know about an event; without posting an add !
Question: What are some ways to get people to know about an event; without posting an add in the newspaper!?
I am holding singing auditions in September, and i really want people to know about the auditions!. I was going to post an add in a few local newspapers, but i found that it is both expensive and time consuming!.
Does anyone have any suggestions on how i can get the word out there!?
(I have an add up on craigslist, and a myspace set up for it!.)

A few things that you might consider: word-of-mouth through local bands, posters in local businesses, and fliers distributed to local music-related businesses!.
You might also ask your local chamber of commerce and/or business association to note the event on their websites!.
If your local paper has a music section, they might consider writing a feature article on the event as well!.Www@Enter-QA@Com

Try a press release!. contact your local tv stations,papers and radio stations!.they post them for free if you give them proper notice!.Www@Enter-QA@Com
