A MOWO would never be allowed to happen!. (it would be deemed to be racist surprisingly!) If music is good, it's good, no matter what the origin!. Some of the acts that win MOBO's wouldn't awards for anything other than a MOBO!. I might make up an award spec!. geared to me so that I with no talent in music would be the only one bound to win!. If we did have the MOWO's etc, you can guarantee that the civil rights & racial equality campaigners would be on it immediately!.
The MOBO's do however honour the music more than the artist, but will obviously lean more towards 'black' artists than any other group!.
Ironically, my wife who is from Sierra Leone & her family say the term 'black' is considered offensive to many true Africans (ie not 'African' Americans)!.

exactly, but imagine the outrage if we were to say, ok heres an awards ceremony, but only for white people!.
2 of my best friends are black and they both agree with me that this whole racist thing has gone too far, people are so afraid of being called racist they go too far the other way!. we had great fun on a night out last week with me saying "racist" stuff about them, in front of them, like my mate gave the barman the wrong money and i said dont worry, she cant help it, black people are stupid, and he had this look of horror on his face and he walked off!. my black mate thought it was hilarious!. all people are the same, people should just get over themselves!.
