Obviously much would depend on how one arrived at the conclusion that the end of the world had come!. Most people, in the United States for example, have no idea what is happening in the next street or village, never mind the rest of the planet!. If all local communication and energy networks should simultaneously fail it would be easy for many to assume that the end of the world was upon them!. (This has happened before when major power outages occurred in New York and large areas of the North Eastern United States!.)
The real problem is that it would take several hundred human lifetimes to find out whether or not you were alone on the planet!.
In the unlikely situation where you and one other were left, that person had better be young, fertile, of the opposite sex and healthy, and a really good survival expert as well!.
Your three special items would have to be a big sharp knife, a flint and steel fire igniter, and a waterproof groundsheet that you can use as a shelter!. With these three you have the basics to keep you going until you can manage to train yourself in survival skills!.Www@Enter-QA@Com

If I was the only survivor I would have a pocketknife, my computer ( I would carry the cords, the monitor, the tower, and and all the accessories), and I would have my cat(unless it died) I would have my best friend along side me!. Www@Enter-QA@Com

my hubby, um why only 3 items, if we're the only survivors we'd have it all at our disposal!. i would definitely visit as many banks as i could because, even though money won't matter, i want to see what it would be like to have as much as i couldWww@Enter-QA@Com
