Question: Record deal paperwork!?
as some of you mayb read in my other questions, we have a band & a producer (yay!!) we're working on a lot of things so far, including paperwork!.!.!.!.!.im jsut curious about all the different forms for the paperwork there are!. Can someone explain it to me!? thanks!Www@Enter-QA@Com

Seriously!.!.!.ask a Band Manager or an A & R guy about those things!. They would know how to interpret the Record Contracts!. You dont want to sign until you under what you signing!. A lot of Artists & Bands have lost their Song Rights because they DIDNT understand the Record Contracts they've already signed!.!.!.and by then!.!.!.it was too late then!. You need to have an idea about how much the Artist Advance
( the money the Record Co loans you for you to pay them back)
is and how much your royalty rate is for each song too!.

My friend owns this Studio and he has written many articles about Record Contracts & avoiding traps in the Music Biz on there!. He used to be a former A & R guy at Capitol Records for 7 years!.
