Questions about livejournal?!

ok i got a livejournal so that i could put some of my writing out there in the world and so that i could gather feedback (and so i didnt have to write a question everytime!. though i still love yahoo answers!!)!. but my problem is that for people to read it they need to find me, or be my friend!. and i dont know anyone on livejournal plus it would help if they didnt know me!. so how can i get people to friend me and how do i friend people!?
