My friend and I doing a doco for an assignment at school!. Its about body issues!. We are going to interview people!.

If you just interview people, you're not going to get many people since it takes time just to interview each one, right!? So perhaps you can write out a survey, asking people the questions which would help in your introduction and understanding of the topic, then print and zap many copies of it and hand them out to people around your school or something!. Anonymity should be encouraged since it might be a sensitive issue!. Then from the survey results, you can draw up graphs and diagrams to illustrate your point, eg how many percentage of the people feel self-conscious etc!.
To add bulk to your documentary, the opinions of people are not enough though, you can research more on some controversial subjects, like body modification, cosmetic surgery etc!. That way your documentary would be more well-rounded and covers a lot more issues!. At the end of the day, an good documentary is one which is informative and yet not too draggy or boring, the info it presents should be something which not many people know of!. if it is about body issues I think it might be nice for you to interview people while filming their stomachs since that is an area most people have issues with and you would not have to worry about covering faces and such!. people might be really in to it and also if you have some confident people who do not mind you filming their tummy outside you would also draw a crowd of other interested people who may then take part!.
with three or four cameras running at the same time it might turn out kind of nice after some editing!.
