Question: Can anyone fill me in on the Gorillaz music videos!?
I am really confused are they supposed to make sense!? they are awesoem but whats with the feel good inc!.!?Www@Enter-QA@Com

Well, some videos seem to have more meaning then others!. In my opinion, the videos of Kids With Guns, Rock The House, 19/2000, Tomorrow Comes Today, and Clint Eastwood have little to no meaning!. They're just supposed to be for fun!. ;] However that still leaves El Manana, Feel Good Inc!., and Dirty Harry music videos!.
Feel Good Inc!. is supposed to resemble pop culture, ansd how it's taking hold of people!. The FGI Tower resembles this pop culture, and 2D, Murdoc, Russel, and many other unseen people are trapped in it!. If you can see, 2D is the only one in the tower fully aware that they're all in the tower's horrible grasp!. Noodle represents freedom and individuality!. To quote wikipedia: "Two of the main themes of the video are mental freedom and the "dumbing down" of mass culture by the media!. There are also the themes of escape versus imprisonment and the personal power to choose between the two and being trapped by the things you make!. The themes in the single, like those of the entire album, are based on Albarn's observations on the state of the world!."
And, to quote 2D himself, " think Gorillaz built a tower around themselves that they couldn't get out of; of excess and debauchery!. The video is based on this feeling!. For a while it was great to be on the inside, but the party got out of hand!. It's become like the 'Last days of Pompeii' !.!.!. The Feel Good Tower represents this!. The palace we built has become a prison!. In the video I'm just waking up from this year-long hedonist's dream, and I realize that maybe!.!.!.the fruits of success have turned sour!."
If you re-watch the video, it makes much more sense then it might now!. ;]
Second, Dirty Harry is a less cryptic meaning: it's litterally a pro peace/anti war song!. The music video shows less of this then if you listen to the song, but you can definatly see some war symbols, such as 2D's army helmet, the tank Noodle, Murdoc nd Russel ride in, etc!.
Finally, El Manana!. This is a very very cryptic song, and I think many people are still trying to figure out what the music video is saying!. Sine it takes place on Noodle's floating island, it's an evident link to the Feel Good Inc!. music video!. However, in FGI, Noodle is showed as free and happy, where as in El Manana, her peaceful island is shot down and she is "killed"!. I highly reccomend you visit the wikipedia article on this song's music video, as there are several theories as to the themes portrayed in the video!.
