It's an excellent book!. Focus on Dicken's references to the poverty of the day, especially the two kids underneath the Ghost of Christmas Present's robe!. Why does he tell Scrooge to beware of them!? Because they are the future of England and ignorance and want can bring down a whole country!. Depending on your grade level you could write a lot about all the stuff he writes in the book about the poor and how badly they were treated then and now!. Notice how the ghosts outside of Scrooge's window in the beginning try to throw money at the woman and her baby but they can't help her anymore!. Or how about Scrooge not wanting to give any money to charity because he figures his taxes are enough!? Or Marley wearing the "chains he forged in life" and how his stinginess haunts him!?Www@Enter-QA@Com
