Question: I got an email to get my band signed!. Scam!?
By A&R select!. Now the problem is that I'm not sure if this is fake!. I have received one a week ago that reads the following:
Your Music Has Been Selected
Hi, this is Alysha from A&R Select!. I wanted to let you know that after reviewing your material you submitted to us through your MySpace page, we are pleased to let you know that we are considering your music for current projects film and TV licensing and potential record label deals!.
Please give us a call immediately so that we can discuss the next steps with you!.
Please keep in mind this is time sensitive and we are actively looking for music for several projects!.
You can reach me at 323-924-**** at our offices in Hollywood, CA!.

I didn't reply to this, because my first impression was 'This is fake'!. This morning, I receive another email from this Alysha, but from a different e-mail reading:
Hello it's Alysha from A&R Select,
I just wanted to follow up with you and make sure that you got in contact with someone in our New Artist Department!. We are still interested in speaking with you about helping you get your music signed or licensed!.
If you have yet to speak to anyone here the best way is to either give us a call at the office (323)924-**** or send me the best phone number to reach you at and I
will make sure that someone gets back to you as soon as possible!.

Scam, scam, scam!. They send that very same email to "everyone" every day!. Later they ask you for money and then they forget about you!.
Why people never get it!? All those emails are just scams!.
