Answers:

According to Chitr Paksha Ayanamsha, which is widely followed in our country for casting horoscopes, Saturn transits in to Leo at about 05:00 AM on July 16, 2007 and it will remain there till September 09, 2009. In general, many people think that Saturn always causes miseries and brings misfortune alone, thus they are much scared of Saturn, hence we see many people irrespective of their cast, creed or color tying a lemon and green chilies on their premises and vehicles; we also see some people even visiting Shani or Hanuman temple regularly on every Saturdays fearing the wrath of Saturn. Many people also believe that Saturn becomes more aggressive on transiting in to Leo because the sign Leo belongs to the Sun, which is considered to be the worst enemy of Saturn, therefore many people take precaution measures to pacify the Shani-Devta!

As per Vedic astrology (based on Moon sign), this major transit of Saturn in to Leo will be a great relief to people born in Gemini sign because they come out of Sade-Sathi. Their next Sade-Sathi commences on August 08, 2029. This transit will also be benefited considerably to Aries and Sagittarius because they will come out of Kandak and Ashtam Shani respectively. Pieces and Libra will have very special blessings due to this transit. However, Cancer, Scorpio and Aquarius will neither have any bad nor have good impacts due to this transit. Nevertheless, this major transit of Saturn marks the beginning of Kantak Shani for Taurus, Janma Shani for Leo, beginning of Sade-Sathi for Virgo and Ashtam Shani for Capricorn.

Persons who would be trapped by Saturn (Sade-Sathi, Janma, Kandak or Ashtam Shani) might become dull and lazy and they might get blamed for none of their mistakes and might also face insults both at working place as well as their dwells. There might be disturbance in their families, misunderstanding with every one including their spouse. The persons coming under the nasty clutches of Saturn might also be deprived from what they really deserve, they might feel as if isolated, even their close friends and relative might turn foe; stomach problem, body ache, might trouble them frequently. Theft and accident could cause great concern. Due promotions might get delayed for no reasons; loan might take long run to get sanctioned. In short it might be both curtailment and cancellations period in every field. Generally, it is during Sade-Sathi, Janma Shani, Kandak or Ahstam Shani that problems surface like a ten-headed Hydra. Once we try to solve one problem another one takes its place. Mental peace and happiness make a strategic retreat for us.

Many people follow various methods in order to pacify Shani- Devta; some people observe fast on Saturdays; some people recite Shani Mantra like Shani Gayatri Mantra, Shani Bheeja Mantra or Shani Maha Mrityunjaya Mantra etc. Some people do Shani-Dhanam (donations) for receiving the blessings of Shani-Devta. Observing fast on Saturdays for Sahni-Devta is quite good provided if the ‘skipped or saved’ meals is given to any poor hungry people.

Similarly, reciting any Mantras will definitely yield positive results provided if the same is recited without causing nuisance to others. Once an astrologer suggested certain Gangaram to recite Shani Gayatri for 108 times a day to change the atmosphere surrounding him into positive vibrations. Gangaram thought to change the entire atmosphere surrounding his society in to positive vibrations hence he played Shani-Mantra through loud speaker thus making every one to hear the Mantra compulsorily whether they wish or not. No God will ever like this way of devotion. Prayer or recitation of Mantras should be done within four walls.

Shani-Dhaan. Once I suggested a middle-aged lady from a well to do family to donate gold (at least earrings) to any poor married lady in order to come-over the afflicted Saturn in her Birth-Chart. After a week time she called me on my phone and said proudly that she had donated two sets of costly earrings to a married lady. When I asked her whom did she donate she lowered her voice and said she donated them to her own daughter-in-law!!

Shani-Devta will be happy to come to bless us during our hours of crises provided only if we extent our helping- hands to poor especially physically challenged poor children by donating them with food, footwear or cloths etc.
