Answers:

Shani will change signs from cancer to leo on the16th July and will be transiting Leo till sometime in Sep 2009.Your Raashi being Mesham shani's transit in leo for the next two and quarter years would mean that shani is passing over the 5th from Raashi in ur horoscope.According to Phaldeepika one of the greatest ancient treatises on vedic astrology the transit of saturn in the 5th from Raashi gives the following results:-Confusion of mind, unhappiness relating to children and unsatsisfactory finances.
As you can see this transit of Shani is not good for you. However the next transit of Shani in Virgo which is the 6th from moon and lasts for about two and half years from Sep 2009 promises all round happiness to you.
With reference to the results of 5th saturn which are negative in character i may mention that the horoscope does not give the results on the basis of transit saturn alone. If the dasha/bhukti and/or transit of Jupiter is good then the results will be considerably modified and will be much better. You asked only for the results of Shani so i told them to you.I may further mention here that from November 2007 to November 2008 transit Jupiter will aspect this saturn in Leo from Saggitarius and thus curb its negative effects. Then the transit of saturn gives results towards the end only and not the beginning. So the time to watch out for the above negative results if any will be from November 2008 to Sep 2009.
As for the second part of your question i have to tell you that the Zodiac is a big place and It takes saturn 29 years and some seven months to complete one round of the Zodiac.Lots and lots of calculations are needed to be done to determine when saturn will move from one sign to another. These calculations relate to various parameters, out of which one is Ayanmsha. There are differences of opinion amongst various astrologers about the value of ayanmasha. So some astrologers/panchanga makers will take one value of ayanmsha and others will take another. As a result different panchangas may give different dates of saturn's entry into a sign.U have to understand that considering saturn takes 29 years and 7 months to complete a round of the zodiac,a difference of few days in determining the date on which saturn enters a sign is always possible in the circumstances.Besides saturn is slow in giving results so don't worry about this minor difference of dates unless u want to learn astrology.
