Answers:

Mars, the ruler of the 4th house (home) Capricorn, is square to the house it rules. Likewise, Mars is square to the co-ruler of that 4th house Capricorn, Saturn in the natal chart. This would suggest to me some difficulties in the home.

When this aspect is touched off by a transit, you may feel some reprecussions. Transiting Mars is square your natal Saturn from the 8th house. These two make natal aspects, so yes, the natal promise is there for problems. If your natal progressions also trigger one of these, then you have the possibility of a major event.

Three things must happen for a major event:

Natal promise, meaning an aspect between the planets ruling the houses in question.

Major progression to aspect the ruling planet of the house.

Major transit, an aspect made by a transiting planet that also makes a natal apsect (regardless of angle).

Good luck!
