What are the traits of a good mom???

Being encouraging and supportive while being firm with your kids too and letting them know there ARE boundaries. Teaching them rules they can follow. Communicating with your kids and helping them to understand and respect the world and people around them. Bringing your children joy and laughter. Knowing that the best gift you can offer your kids is yourself. They will so appreciate the time you devote to them when they’re young as they grow older. Read to them, play with them, talk and spend time with them. Being always emotionally available and aware of what is going on in your children’s lives. A good parent realizes that one of the best gifts that he can offer his children is himself. Raising your children so they can be successful, happy, independent adults. Letting kids know they can’t always get what they want. Explaining why! Being there to listen and understand. Respect your children’s feelings. Let them know you believe in them and they can always trust you. Don’t be overly protective. Encourage your kids to try new things. Allow your kids to make their own decisions but ‘guide’ them gently if you feel they’re making the wrong choice!!!! Be there to lift your child up when they’re down, give comfort when they’re sad. Spoil them when they’re ill. Let them live out their dreams and not yours. Let the love in your heart spill into everything you do for your family. Be their best friends, enjoy their company and realise there is so much you can learn from them as they grow older.
