I have a "stationary" retrogade venus in my chart. Is this the same thing as a retrogade planet?

Or is it different? What does a natal stationary planet mean?

Answers:

No it is not the same as a Retrograde (Rx) planet. Stationary is when a planet "appears" to be motionless just before turning either direct or Rx; when a planet is in its station. Venus is stationary for 2 days before and after its Rx periods.
Each planet (sun and moon are not planets, but luminaries so they never retrograde) has 2 stations, or stationary points. 1) the place in its orbit where it becomes stationary before it turns Rx, and 2), when it again becomes stationary in preparation of resuming its direct motion. In horary astrology, it's considered to have a debilitating effect. In natal or transiting, any time a planet is stationary, whether turning direct or Rx, its effects are stronger. And if that planet aspects another planet in your chart, that aspect is intensified. Example. Pluto was stationary Rx conjunct a person's descendant. (Scorpio, Pluto rule transformation, change). Opposing the ascendant (that person's physical body. Granted there were other aspects, as one aspect does not make an event; it takes at least two major transits, plus natal aspects, plus progressed aspects for an important event. Pluto rules removals, often times drastic. The person died. And that's just a vague example, okay.
Basically, if your Sr Venus aspects another planet in your chart, that aspect will be intensified. In the case of a transit, you should feel the effects of that aspect within 2 days. Hope I answered your question. Check it out when a good aspect from Uranus or a planet in Aquarius or in the 11 th house or Jupiter or the 9th or something in Sag and see if you don't win some money or receive a gift within those 2 days, or meet someone, go on a date, etc. depending on the planet it aspects and by house and sign when it aspects your Venus. And generally, you will have more than one opportunity for such.
