How to convince a Cancer man to do something?

My mother and I are planning a short holiday overseas but my Cancer brother is being stubborn and doesn't want to come along. He's most resolute. I've heard it's damned near impossible to make a Cancer do something he doesn't want to but I'm not giving up just yet.

So, what techniques can you use to convince a Cancer to do something they don't want to do? In short, how do you manipulate a Cancer? How do you drag him out of his belove home? Bribing him with money doesn't work, the idea of "adventure" doesn't work, giving him bragging rights doesn't work ...

To get a cancer out of his shell, you have to appeal to his need to be needed. Say how much you and your mother need him to come along, that it's safer with a man, etc. It should work.
