Spiritually speaking, is other people's negativity affecting my life?

I have a couple of exes who seem intent on hating me with all they've got even though they were liars and cheaters and I just put my foot down and left. I understand that abandonment issues can be very powerful, but this is ridiculous. For the last couple of years it seems that for every good thing that happens in my life, ten bad things happen. They are both into black magic, and I have done some protective rituals to keep their energy away, but it seems to be to no avail. Is their negativity affecting my life?
If you are going to knock me for my beliefs or try to convert me to yours, save it and go elsewhere. I want answers from people who understand negative energy and how to deal with it.

not gonna convert your beliefs into mine. but i can relate to negative energies from a black magic point of view though i do not practice it. you cannot stop one person from hating you whole of your life but you can do lots of things for yourself.

have you tried protecting with a experienced (depending on your beliefs) healer/ pastor/ superior?

and if protecting doesnt help, you'd need to go an upper level that is transmitting the negative energies back to them- like a mirror. if it is so, they have been giving you all these bad energies, you are very able to 'group' em all up and divert it back to them.

another is by going to an experienced and expelling or cleasing your self (being) the possibly lingering/ remaining negative energies that might have affected you. by yourself, you can start by strengthening your inner strengths in order to repel such bad energies, instead of absorbing it.

one thing good about energy is that it never dies- it can never be created by a human. its only borrowed from another form or function to another and it only changes its shape and mode overtime- thats physics for you but i think its applicable here.
