Heya...i am in a similar boat.. the only difference is that I'm the Cappie while my bf is a Taurus. And to your question, YES! that certainly can be love.
Compared to the rest above, I can only share my personal side to it. I love my bull and although we lock horns often (because we are both stubborn), it is the chemistry that comes out of which is spellbinding. At first, I was against getting together as our strong personalities may just burn us both out. However, as the days, months and years go by I am appreciating him more and falling deeper in love with him. Yes there are moments when either of us feel like killing each other but we are just softies underneath our hard exterior hence, we can't stay mad at each other for long.
I do not wear my emotions on my sleeve but the bull is sure the closest to help uncover that smoldering passions seated deeply within me which I never knew existed.
And to the question of boredom, well i can't speak for the rest but I can only add it gets better with my Taurus. We both don't really much do out of the ordinary stuff which make us both understand each other's personalities. And no, that doesn't make us boring individuals but helps us as we have our own space for our own things. We are both independent individuals hence, when we do get together we just rather be lost in each other's embrace then scaling mountains. Those tender moments when we can appreciate each other.
Yes, being earthy we sort of can understand if the other person just wants to laze around. Not that we are lazy, the goat and bull are far from being lazy when work is concerned. However, don't be fooled being earthy does not mean we are both very much alike. At our cores, we can be different and that's where we both take efforts to embrace our differences while celebrating our similarities.
To others it may be mundane but just imagine putting a lusty bull and a randy goat together, how boring can it honestly get?
