Thank god I'm not alone!!! My ex puts a lot into them and reading about his year ahead, compatibility etc, maybe why he's my ex!

Mr. Batfink is correct. The quick answer is neither. If you want the logic consider this.
When either the Mesopotamians or the ancient Chinese developed astrology it was probably an attempt at actual science albeit a failed attempt. So, astrology is complete poppycock.
Now if you were to believe (and as you no doubt already know, believing something has no effect whatever on the reality of that thing, idea, assumption, belief or misconception, that the original constructors of astrology in order to allow the predicting of the future by an interpretation of what they perceive as the relation of one star to another were correct you would have to discount the entire pseudoscience since the north star back then was not the north star we use today. Therefore = every calculation would be wrong in any case. As you know, our science is not advanced enough to predict the future and there is logical question whether the future can ever predicted since life is dynamic.
So, Mr. batfink’s answer is short but accurate.
