National Astrology; Which date of "birth" of a country do you use to create it's chart?

1. When the country has *declared* independence?

2. When the country's independence was *recognised*?

Fireball, I hope you're joking. That is the most ignorant answer I've ever had on one of my questions...

Answers:

I actually came across your question a while ago, but it took me some time to ponder how best to answer it. It is sometimes difficult, indeed, to pinpoint the "birth of a nation". I've done some work with national astrology, so I'm very familar with the problems it can raise.

However, I finally came to the conclusion that the date on which a country "declared" its independence is most likely the date of its birth. I think it could be viewed as comparable to when a child is born as opposed to when its birth is officially recognised by the rest of society in the form of a birth certificate.

I hope this helps :)
