Is a June 21st Birthday a Gemini or a Cancer?

According to some horoscopes, a Cancer starts on June 21, but then I've seen other listings where a Gemini is listed as up to June 21. I'm confused! Does anyone know the real star sign for this birth date?

I did a for instance chart: I used 6/21/87 as birthdate. I used San Francisco, CA for the location. Theses are the results I got:

June 21, 1987 3:10 pm was Gemini still
June 21, 1987 3:15 pm changed over to Cancer

I did a 2nd for instance chart, using 6/21/88 as birthday. I used the same city and state for location: These are the results I got:

June 20, 1988 8:45 p.m. was Gemini still
June 20, 1988 9:00 p.m. changed over to Cancer
