Capricorn is the tenth sign of the Zodiac and associated with hard work and business affairs. Individuals born under this sign are thought to have an ambitious, modest, patient, responsible, stable, trustworthy, powerful, intellectual, perspicacious and persistent character but one which is also prone to coldness, conservatism, rigidity, materialism, and dullness. Capricorn is often depicted as having the lower half of a fish. This is due to Capricorn's antiquated classification as a Water sign, while modern astrology holds that Capricorn is indubitably an Earth sign.

Capricorn is associated with the Greek myth of the goat Amalthea who provided the infant Zeus with milk. Zeus placed her in the sky to honor her (Catasterismi). Capricorn is also associated with the Greco-Roman god Cronus/Saturn and also sometimes the god Aristaeus. In Sumerian Mythology, Capricorn is sometimes associated with Enki.
