How important is exact time of birth to Vedic Astrology?!
Question:
How important is exact time of birth to Vedic Astrology?
Say you know the hour and know the minutes within 4?
Is that close enough or must it be exact?
Would not knowing or getting it slightly wrong nullify
a whole reading?

Here is the Importance of Accuracy of Time
1) Error more than 2 Hours -- Nothing can be predicted accurately. Accuracy is a Relative Term here and only the general Characteristics can be told.
2) Error of up to 30 Minutes or more but less than 2 Hours -- The guidance cannot be closer or less than approximately 6 months.
3) Error of up to 15 Minutes but less than 30 minutes -- guidance can be up to an accuracy of 3 Months only.
4) Error of 5 Minutes but less than 15 Minutes -- guidance can be of up to 40 Days.
5) Error of up to 2 Minutes but less than 15 Minutes -- guidance with an accuracy of close to 15 Days can be given.
In my opinion Accurate Guidance of less than 15 days can be given ONLY BY THE GOD ALMIGHTY.
NOTE : I mentioned everywhere as "Guidance", as Astrology can only Guide One, but the actual Fulfilment of desires is possible only by sheer hard work.
