Is a scorpio and a aqarious compatiable?

I'm an aquarian and my husband a scorpion, so I'd love to answer this. Technically according to astrology books we're not supposed to be compatible at all for many reasons.
We knew each other for 3 years before marriage and now have been married for 5 years. So total 8 years.
The scorpion is very intense, they can be secretive, they are romantic and are very possesive. Aquarians are very care free, they enjoy day dreaming alot, they find it hard when someone tries to be possesive about them cos they enjoy their freedom. Scorpions are very practical while aquarians are the opposite. We dont think alike at all.

But we do enjoy each other's company, initially it was tough getting along but i guess we've worked on it and we're getting along fine. It depends on individuals but i've seen alot of scorpio & aquarius break up (my friends).
