Did u know how the zodiac signs got its origin?!

Question:

Did u know how the zodiac signs got its origin?

Answers:

A long time ago, in a galaxy far away... No, that's a different story.

Let's see. Around 4,000 BCE, people in ancient Sumeria got around to naming the constellations that appeared in a band above their heads in the sky. They noticed that certain star patterns looked like certain things-- this set looked like a ram, that one a bull. Eventually they picked out eleven or so patterns that seemed to follow each other in a circle above their heads. Oh, there were other constellations, but they were out of the line that they could draw above their heads to make a perfect circle overhead.

This became known as the Zodiac. They noticed that people who were born when a particular sign was prominent behaved a particular way, and that particular events happened. They noticed that people born in May were quiet, and those born in June talked a lot. Thus we get Taurus and Gemini.

They found that things happened to the royal house in August (Leo rules royalty), and that events in October affected marriages (Libra rules marriage).

But with Libra I get ahead of myself. Originally there were eleven signs because Libra is slightly out of alignment with that circle. But time became better understood, and Libra was edged into the zodiac.

Hope this helps.
