The reason that astrology is still around is simple. Millions are made from the gullible and delusional.
Edit: Johnny V, provide evidence that it works and collect your Nobel Prize. You don't have to prove it to me, I'm no scientist. Instead go win The James Randi Million Dollar prize. Simply prove any part of astrology under controled conditions and you will have established a new science. It must be easier than trying to prove that God exists. Also you don't allow e-mails. if there was "nothing" to the stars, then how would astrology exist this long?
But not soley "birth signs", it's your whole chart based on the time and place of your birth. Initially I checked it out for fun, but have stayed interested because I found it to be pretty right on in describing my personality. why else do we use astrology; for fun? well, i don't and
i think ppl should cut the crap and start talking scientifically about astrology instead of doing it for "fun". if you go to astrology sites just for the fun about it then why do you go to these sites?
If you guys read the magazines there's always at the end of it a small horoscope reading on whats going to happen next week, month etc..; they are wrong and making astrology a fun game instead of an art, a science; in the past there lived people who could save others lives with use of astrology, so **** all who question this science pls read my link on what IS astrology what ISN'T.

ever read a serious astrology book, if not; yu don't understand it and you never will accept that astro really works, its basicaly something that always helps us and pulls us in the right direction throughout our whole life and we just don't notice it!!
edit: chainlightning38 give me your time of birth and your birthplace and i will know everything about you, don't believe me? just do it and you will be stunned how exact astrology is. it will be about 96% accurate, i swear to you. Then if not, then astrology is a lie. But you can't prove astrology isn't a lie either nor can you prove 100% to me that there is a God even if it says in the bible. am i right or wrong? I think birth signs are acurate when it comes to your personality, but not when it comes to who you are compatible with. I do and I've been having fun with it for almost 30 years now. Do you have a problem with understanding it? Don't worry, you're not alone. Lots of people are just too dumb to figure it out. Humans are the center of universe and the planets were made to give us a personality. Maybe since the solar system is 4 billion years old, the planets were made for dinosaur personalities instead. Why not? They at least ruled the earth for millions of years.
Also if astrology can tell us about our past, so what? Pretty useless to tell me stuff I already know. mostly for fun.... but some times it really makes sense. Its fun to check them out and be like "omg that's so me!" lol because some of them seem to be freakishly close but that would mean that everyone who was a scorpio or whatever would be the same so yea you get the point. lol
