Answers: Does compatability with horoscopes really matter for a couple to work?

Yes I believe it can but it is not 100% exact science. Other things have to be considered. Every person is more than their sun sign. Each has a specific astrology chart that is specific to them. You have a moon sign and a rising sign along with several other planets in signs that rule over your communications, what you love, what you actively pursue, where you have difficulties in life as well as where you are likely to receive good luck. They say for example that a Capricorn and a Taurus is supposed to get along very well and usually they do along as their moon signs are harmonious... and rising signs to a degree. For example A capricorn with a libra moon will most likely not get along with a Taurus, moon in aries. They won't necessarily hate each other from the get go but there will be too many differences that are at odds to keep them together for too long. But on the other hand if that same couple is a capricorn with a pisces or taurus moon and a taurus with a scorpio or capricorn moon than you have yourself a potential "soulmate" connection.
Now of course you would both have to find each other sexually attractive and run in the same basic social circle. Take Paris Hilton and Pee Wee Herman for example. It doesn't matter if their charts deem them perfect soulmate material, Paris Hilton and Pee Wee Herman just aren't going to be a couple. They are worlds apart.

But if you are looking for a soulmate astrology-wise which isn't a 1 in a million chance like some people believe itis more like 1 in a 144 chance to find that soulmate (12 sun signs and 12 moon signs) but if you like to narrow down your chance to roughly 1 in 12 than try dating people within your own element. Fire with fire, air with air, earth with earth and water with water. If you stay within your element for sun sign it would give you the greatest chance to find a soulmate. Although I cannot offer you a guarantee on that because I do not know your birth chart.
It is possible to have an out of element soulmate connection also but it much more rarer. I know a scorpio with a sag moon that is a perfect match with a sag with a scorpio moon.
The key is one (or both ..extremely rare) having their moon in the others sun sign. Astrology like every person you meet and yourself for that matter is very complicated and sun signs alone just doesn't do it justice.

I'm going to say marginally. There are too many other factors that enter into our personality make-up to let horoscopes direct our choices completely. A couple will work if they both work at making it work. As you can see it takes a lot of WORK.

There are dozens of indications on a mature horoscope. sun signs are a small part of that. Synastry is the part of Astrology that determines compatibliity. It is more complex than merely looking at Sun signs. I have not found any astrological predictions to work in my relationships.

generally, or should I say usually, we find that whoever are best friends, are generally as per horoscope signs.

Don't trust me? Okay.. take a small test...Note down you best friend names on a paper. Now, try to write their horoscope sun signs with their names.

What do you find ? About 90% of them are as per the sun sign compatibility only.

So, I will just rest my case in favor of horoscope sun sign chemistry. I hope you and all others will soon too.

To an some degree or extent I believe it is true. I dun base my whole romance life or judge others based on horoscopes despite majority of the descriptions prove to be generally true.

For example, as a cancerian, I'll admit I look for security in relationships which Scorpios do provide.

Yes because horoscopes respresent who we are when you take away all the fluff and the cultural influences and the fake behavior. Horoscopes show us what we are really about at our core. This is very improtant for long-term compatibility.. not so much for casual dating and flings.
